Severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Marshall and DeKalb Counties until 645 am.

NWS meteorologists in Huntsville observe that cloud tops with this storm have actually cooled, indicating it is getting stronger.

Wind damage was reported 12 miles west of Good Hope at 5:55 a.m. including broken limbs and power pole.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

Southwestern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 645 AM CDT.

* At 557 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Strawberry,
or near Arab, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
