Flash Flood Watch Expanded for Central Alabama

The NWS in Birmingham has also included Hale County now in the Flash Flood Watch.

ORIGINAL POST

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has expanded the Flash Flood Watch
to include portions of central Alabama…east
central Alabama and west central Alabama, including the following
areas, in central Alabama, Bibb, Shelby and Talladega. In east
central Alabama, Clay and Randolph. In west central Alabama,
Greene, Pickens, Sumter and Tuscaloosa.

* Until 7 PM CDT this evening

* Rainfall amounts of two to four inches are expected within the
watch area, with isolated higher amounts.

The flash watch continues for all counties to the north of these, all the way to the Tennessee border.

Several flash flood warnings are in effect as well.
