Swarm of Tornadoes in the Delta of Mississippi

Mississippi is dealing with a significant swarm of tornadoes this afternoon.

Currently, there are three observed tornadoes across the Delta, from northwest of Kosciusko, another just southwest of Yazoo City, and one southwest of China.

The first is affecting Holmes and Carroll Counties. There is strong rotation east of Tchula. This tornado will move toward Black Hawk. It will eventually move toward Winona and I-55.

The Yazoo City storm is heading toward eastern portions of Yazoo City. This is a PDS Tornado Warning for a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado. At 6:23, spotters were reporting tornado crossing highway 4 miles north of Tinsley. There is large TDS (Tornado Debris Signature) on this storm. It has been reported as high as 11,000 feet.

Earlier, this same storm produced a large tornado near Satartia.

The final storm is near Pattison. It will move toward Carpenter.
