Midday Nowcast: Sunny and Pleasant

High pressure centered to our northwest is firmly in control of our weather allowing for the much drier air mass to settle into the state. We are seeing abundant sunshine with temperatures heading into the upper 60s to lower 70s this afternoon, and it is a bit breezy at times, with a northerly winds in the 10-20 mph range.

Tonight will be another chilly May night in Alabama with lows in the 40s.

MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND: Tomorrow will be dry and pleasant, with a good supply of sunshine, the high will in the upper 70s. Clouds increase late Sunday, and we will bring showers and thunderstorms back to the forecast late Sunday night ahead of a cold front, but Mother’s Day should be dry. Sunday’s high will be in the low 80s.
