Flash Flood Watch Continues for Central Alabama

The NWS in Birmingham has extended the Flash Flood Watch for Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Perry, and Sumter Counties 4:00 PM CDT. Rain is beginning to diminish in these areas and the threat should end by 4 p.m.

The Flash Flood Watch continues until 7 p.m. for Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, and Tuscaloosa Counties.

Many areas have seen between 1 and 2 inches of rain so far from Tropical Storm Claudette.
