Dangerous Situation in Tuscaloosa/ Northport Area

Flooding is severe in parts of the Tuscaloosa area. Here are some reports:

…From Northport…flooding is reported in the Willowbrook Trailer Park on Hunter Creek Road

…Roads are reported flooded in Northport

…Flooding reported in the Buckhead Neighborhood.

Over 3.57 inches of rain has fallen in the last 90 minutes at the Tuscaloosa Airport.

Matt Devine reports 5.51 inches. He is the Turf Manager at North River Yacht Club.

The heavy rain just continues to fall over the same areas and is nearly stationary.

The NWS Birmingham has upgraded the flash flood warning with a CONSIDERABLE tag. WEA alerts should be sounding as a result.
