…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHERN PICKENS…NORTHWESTERN
GREENE AND NORTH CENTRAL SUMTER COUNTIES UNTIL 100 PM CDT…

At 1216 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Prairie Point, or near Pickensville, moving southeast at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Aliceville, Carrollton, Pickensville, McMullen, Garden, New West
Greene, Panola, West Greene, Benevola, Johnston Lake, Bevill Lock And
Dam, Gainesville Lake Campground, Warsaw, Dillburg, George Downer
Airport, Pleasant Ridge, Cochrane and Lewiston.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
