Rainfall Reports

Here are some of the rainfall amounts from today across North and Central Alabama…

1.42 at Blountsville
0.75 at Cordova
1.06 at Ellisville in Cherokee County
1.48 at Pell City
0.62 at Sylacauga
0.93 at Holt Dam (Tuscaloosa)
0.72 at Vincent (4 miles north)
0.72 at DeSoto State Park
2.64 at UAH in Huntsville
0.46 at Dempolis Skycam site

1.27 was reported at Fort Payne (APCO station) but certainly more fell in the area. Radar estimates indicated that four or more inches may have fallen. The precipitation report from the Airport was unavailable. FLooding was reported in Fort Payne during the height of the storm.

More thunderstorms are expected across the area on Monday. Hopefully, locations which have not seen rain in the past few days will have some generous amounts tomorrow.
