Tuskegee football coach Willie Slater said it has been tough keeping his Golden Tigers excited about offseason training when the offseason has spanned two years.

“All in all, I think the guys have stuck in there,” he said. “I think they’re committed to playing.”

Slater said he was amazed following the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s mandate that its member teams be vaccinated against COVID-19.
