Confirmed Tornado Moving Through Portions of Clarke Co. & About to Enter Wilcox Co.

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Northeastern Clarke County in southwestern Alabama…
Southwestern Wilcox County in south central Alabama…

* Until 230 PM CDT.

* At 139 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located 6 miles
southwest of Whatley, or 8 miles south of Grove Hill, moving north
at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado.

SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Fulton around 200 PM CDT.
Thomasville around 210 PM CDT.
Pine Hill around 220 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
