Most of Alabama is rain free late this morning, maybe a few patches of light rain. It is cloudy over most of the state.

Gradual clearing is now our main weather story. Satellite photographs show clearing already over Extreme NW Alabama.

We did not have that big bird over 22,000 miles up in the sky when I first joined the USWB in 1957. How times have changed! We also did not have radar.

Great weather for high school football tonight, in the 60s at kickoff and 50s second half. Nice weather in Knoxville and Lexington Saturday and Saturday evening for Alabama-Kentucky and Auburn-Tennessee games.

If you are motoring to either city this afternoon, generally good driving weather all the way. There is some scattered light rain over East Kentucky but that will be ending.
