Three Tornadic Storms South of St. Louis

| October 24, 2021 @ 8:59 pm

We have three supercells producing confirmed tornadoes in eastern Missouri tonight.

One may have just struck the town of Coffman directly. Coffman is 60 miles south of St. Louis. This storm will be approaching St. Mary shortly. The NWS St. Louis has a PDS Tornado Warning on this one.

The next is very near Fredricktown. It will be moving toward Junction Lake, Silver Lake and Perryville. A new Tornado Debris Signature just showed up northwest of Fredericktown according to the NWS St. Louis. They are imploring people in Junction City to take cover now.

The next storm shows a developing tornado near Annapolis MO. This tornado will move near or just east of Fredericktown.

Tornado watches cover a large part of Illinois, all of southeastern Missouri, much of northwestern Arkansas, and extreme southeastern Oklahoma.

The line of storms will reach Northwest Alabama around daybreak, but it will weaken tremendously before it does, and severe weather is not expected in our state.
