Midday Nowcast: Some Sun and Some Clouds

| November 2, 2021 @ 10:27 am

Despite the surprise showers this morning, the day is turning out to be pretty decent across North/Central Alabama. We are seeing more sun than clouds with temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 60s by the end of the day. Tonight will feature increasing clouds again with chilly temperatures as lows fall into the low to mid 40s overnight.

CLOUDY AND MUCH COOLER WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY: Clouds will continue to increase through the day tomorrow as a wave of low pressure develops to our southwest. This will allow for areas of light rain to overspread the state as well, and we are going to mention these in the forecast both tomorrow and Thursday with the better rain chances expected Thursday. The sky both days will be generally cloudy and it will be chilly at times as highs will hold in the low to mid 50s both days. Limited moisture moves rainfall amounts will be light, with most locations receiving less than one-quarter of an inch. Again, these days will look and feel more like winter days for North/Central Alabama.

A GORGEOUS ALABAMA WEEKEND: Friday will feature a gradually clearing sky with highs in the mid and upper 50s. For Saturday and Sunday, expect sunny cool days, and clear cold nights. Highs Saturday will be in the lower 60s, while mid 60s should return Sunday. Lows will drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s over the weekend.
