…FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY…

* WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Clay, Cleburne, Randolph and Talladega.

* WHEN…Until noon CST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 859 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
– Additional rainfall over the next few hours will keep small
streams elevated with some minor flooding possible.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Talladega, Roanoke, Lineville, Ashland, Wedowee, Lake
Wedowee, Ranburne, Waldo, Woodland, Barfield, Delta, Malone,
Fosters Cross Roads, Corinth, Morrison Cross Roads, Crystal
Lake, Cragford, Ofelia, R.L. Harris Dam and Mellow Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
