Brief Check on Our Weather Just After 9 pm

| February 17, 2022 @ 9:09 pm

The Tornado Watches were allowed to expire, and the main severe threat has ended for the night. Some gusty winds and maybe an isolated severe storm will be possible along and ahead of the line of storms for a few more hours until the line pushes out of the state. Heavy rain has become the larger threat as several flooding issues have been reported.

Behind the line, colder and drier air has begun to move into the northwestern parts of the area, with overnight lows dropping into the lower to mid 30s along and north of I-59. South of that, lows will range from the upper 30s to the mid 50s from northwest to southeast.
