The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southern Jefferson County in central Alabama…

* Until 345 PM CDT.

* At 300 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over North Johns,
or 9 miles southwest of Hueytown, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Mountain
Brook, Hueytown, Fairfield, Fultondale, Pleasant Grove, Tarrant,
Midfield, Brighton, Lipscomb, Lake View, Sylvan Springs, North
Johns, Birmingham Fairgounds, Five Points South and Ensley.
