Record Long Rain List

Her names was Ida, so we can blame all of this extra work on that young lady. She brought so much rain to the state of Alabama that we are now ready to post a list of rain amounts that may be longer than we have ever done before. You may want to stop for a cup of coffee halfway through (or a Buffalo Rock). These numbers are the storm total. Most of this rain fell in about 36 hours. On a number of these, we also are adding the year-to-date amounts.

Your eyes are now blurry, but let me add the note that we get more than one report from some communities.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS
* At one time, three blocks of downtown Anniston were under 2.5 feet of standing water.

* In Gadsden at one time, multiple streets were flooded in and around the area.

* Multiple trees down in Elmore County.
