The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for…
West Central Cullman County in north central Alabama…
* Until 1145 PM CDT.
* At 838 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across western Cullman County. Between 2 and 4 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches
are possible in western Cullman County. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Crane Hill, Logan, Smith Lake and Jones Chapel.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
