Midday Nowcast: Rain Ending; Cold Rest of Week

The rain is ending across the state from west to east, and will be done with by this evening for most locations. It remains cloudy and chilly outside with temperatures ranging from the upper 40s to lower 50s.

The sky will clear tonight as a dry and colder air returns to Alabama; expect lows in the mid 30s by first thing tomorrow morning.

COLD REST OF WEEK: Tomorrow through Friday, the weather will be cold and dry with highs in the 40s and 50s, and lows mostly in the 20s Thursday and Friday morning. Morning and afternoon temperatures are ten to fifteen degrees below average for mid-November in Alabama.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Dry weather continues with sunny days and clear nights. Highs mostly in the 50s, lows will range from the mid 20s in the colder spots, to lower 30s elsewhere.

NEXT WEEK: Dry weather continues through at least the first half of the week. Temperatures remain below average, and we see no chance of any severe storms in Alabama for the next 7-10 days. Our next chance of rain looks to arrive next Thursday (Thanksgiving).

IN THE TROPICS: All is quiet in the Atlantic basin and no development is expected through the weekend. The season comes to an end at the end of the month.
