Late Night Look at Alabama’s Weather

| January 22, 2023 @ 12:16 am

Just past the witching hour tonight and most of Central and North Alabama is getting a good soaking.

There are some storms in the US-80 Corridor between Selma and Montgomery. Just a little bit of lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rain.

To the southwest, there is a stronger storm moving across parts of eastern Washington moving into Clarke County. Folks in Jackson, AL will be getting frequent lightning, heavy rain, gusty winds to 40 mph, and some pea-sized hail.

The stronger storms will be lifting northward across South Central Alabama during the early morning hours, but severe weather is not expected.

Parts of South Alabama will see severe weather Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
