Noisy Storms Over Northwest Alabama

| March 11, 2023 @ 10:17 pm

Storms have broken out over Northwest Alabama tonight. They are mostly over Franklin, Colbert, Lauderdale, Limestone, and Lawrence counties.

They have some lightning and loud thunder and could produce gusty winds and some small hail.

Additional storms are over northern Mississippi and will affect Alabama later tonight and early Sunday.

A couple of the storms could become severe during the overnight and early morning, but the biggest threat for severe weather on Sunday will be south of US-80 over South Alabama.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been posted for Southeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Arkansas as well as one county in Northeast Texas around Texarkana.
