Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of DeKalb County

Strong storm is approaching Sand Rock and will be moving toward Cedar Bluff.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southwestern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 807 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Geraldine, or
13 miles southwest of Rainsville, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Crossville, Geraldine, Lakeview, Lebanon, Hopewell, Kilpatrick,
Painter, Rodentown, Peeks Corner and Chigger Hill.
