Our line of strong storms is dropping southward now.

There are three severe thunderstorm warnings in effect for several counties across East and Central Alabama.

The line extends from southern Cherokee and Cleburne counties westward along I-20 to Oxford, to south of Pell City, to Birmingham, to Hueytown, to north of Tuscaloosa.

Damaging winds are possible with any of the storms in the warning polygons.

Several counties have been removed from the severe thunderstorm watch. The counties filled in pick are still in the watch until 7 p.m.
