The Storms Didn’t Like Us Talking Bad About Them
I guest “marginally marginal” might have come off a little harsh. We’re sorry storms.
But seriously, the storms over North and Northwest Alabama and Northeast Mississippi have intensified. They are still below severe limits.
The strongest storms are across Lamar, northwestern Fayette, southeastern Marion, and western Walker Counties. They are producing nearly 60 flashes per minute. They are capable of 35-40 mph winds. Of course, they have torrential rain.
Another area of storm storms is approaching Columbus MS and this means it will move into Kamar and Pickens Counties soon.
Others are moving through northern Lawrence and northern Limestone Counties.
A trip of very heavy showers are moving through the Jefferson County area. The heaviest is on I-459 between I-65 and US-280.
All of the cells are moving east northeast at about 20-25 mph.
