Hurricane Franklin A Formidable Category Four Hurricane

| August 28, 2023 @ 5:12 pm

Stunning visible satellite image of Hurricane Franklin this afternoon with top winds of 145 mph.

Franklin remains a powerful category four hurricane this afternoon over the west Atlantic about 500 miles SW of Bermuda moving to the north at 8 mph.

It is expected to pass about 150 miles west of the Island. Tropical storm force winds may affect that beautiful location Wednesday morning.

Franklin could strengthen further and Will flirt with Cat 5 status over the next 12 hours. The Hurricane Hunters will investigate tonight.
