| January 27, 2024 @ 8:36 am

NWS Birmingham has issued a Wind Advisory from now until 12pm for Autauga, Bibb, Blount, Chilton, Dallas, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Lowndes, Marengo, Marion, Perry, Pickens, Shelby, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston counties in Central Alabama. A wake low has developed behind this first batch of rain, and may produce gusty winds up to 40-45 mph, while sustained winds will be around 10-15 mph.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. These winds will occur on the back side of the rain as the rain comes to an end. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
