Strong Storms Continue Across Central Alabama Tonight, But They Aren’t Severe

Strong storms continue tonight from the Birmingham Metro area southwestward to Centreville, Marion, Linden, Butler, and on to near Waynesboro in Mississippi. Occasional booming thunder and the rain is making for a nice sleeping night across the area.

There are no severe storms in Central Alabama, although the heaviest storms are over Bibb and Perry Counties. There may be some small hail in Bibb County.

Heavy rain continues over the already flood warned counties of Montgomery, Bullock, Macon, and Lee.

There is a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Choctaw and Washington Counties in Southwest Alabama.

Heavy rain will continue to be a problem overnight. The next problem areas will be across Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Clay, Randolph, and Chamber counties.
