Severe Thunderstorm Warning — NW Madison & N Limestone Counties Until 6:30 PM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Madison County and Northern Limestone County in north-central Alabama until 6:30 PM CDT.

A severe thunderstorm near Tanner is moving northeast at 35 mph, with 60 mph wind gusts expected to cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Redstone Arsenal, University Of Alabama In Huntsville, Harvest, Tanner, French Mill, Coxey, and Elkwood.

Remain alert for possible tornado development and seek shelter in a sturdy structure if needed. A Tornado Watch is in effect until 9:00 PM CDT for north-central and northwestern Alabama, as well as Middle Tennessee.
