Ping-pong ball-sized hail is possible, as well as wind gusts to 60 mph. Dangerous lightning, as well. But no tornadoes are expected.

Thunderstorms have formed over western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. They will push into northwestern Alabama over the next couple of Alabama. They will reach Birmingham around 8-9 pm but should weaken before then.
