EXPIRED Severe T-Storm Warning — Dekalb, Jackson, Madison Co. Until 3:30 AM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning affecting the following areas:

Jackson County, AL
Madison County, AL
DeKalb County, AL
Lincoln County, TN
Franklin County, TN
Remains in effect until: 3:30 AM CDT

At 2:25 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was identified near Huntland, approximately 13 miles northeast of Moores Mill, moving east at 40 mph. The storm is anticipated to bring hazards such as 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, as indicated by radar data.

Stevenson
Sylvania
Hollywood

Residents in these areas should take immediate precautions as hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees are expected. It’s essential to remain alert for the potential development of a tornado, as tornadoes can form rapidly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter in a basement or small central room within a sturdy structure if a tornado is spotted.
