EXPIRED Tornado Warning — Jackson Co. Until 3:15 am

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Tornado Warning for:

Northeastern Jackson County, AL

Remains in effect until: 3:15 AM CDT

At 2:27 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Skyline, about 12 miles north of Scottsboro, moving east at 30 mph. This storm presents a significant hazard, including the potential for a tornado and quarter-size hail.

Impacts include:
Flying debris posing danger to those without shelter
Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed
Damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and likely tree damage

This dangerous storm is forecasted to reach Stevenson around 2:45 AM CDT. Other areas affected by this tornadic thunderstorm include Fabius and Fackler.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:
TAKE COVER NOW! Seek shelter in a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows.
If outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
