Alabama 811 | Know What's Below.

Note to Businesses and Employers

| February 12, 2010 @ 11:11 am | 14 Replies

A strong disturbance moving through Mississippi has really intensified the snow across Central Alabama late this morning.

The temperatures aloft are very cold up at about 5,000 feet. Now the atmosphere has moistened and the snow has increased in intensity.

Snow is accumulating now on decks, grass and cars in most areas.

As the snow continues to fall, it will begin to stick on bridges and overpasses and we will have the potential for traffic problems. People will need to get home before that occurs.

Employers and businesses that have not already closed need to consider letting employees go home soon across Central Alabama.
