Snow looking from Bluff Creek on Warrior River

Moderate snow is falling again here in Trussville, as bands wrap around the NW side of the system. This event panned out for central Alabama, but it looks like south Alabama didn’t get quite as much as we thought.

We will continue to see occasional snow into the evening, especially in east Alabama. Once the sun sets and temperatures fall into the 20s, roads could get very icy, so travel tonight or tomorrow morning is discouraged.

I will say that we on this blog called this thing last Saturday, 6 days out. Then again, we called one in January that didn’t happen! Weather is funny like that. As James discusses below, we could have another snow event Sunday or Monday. That one could have 1-2″, with the higher amounts in north Alabama. And, with another negative AO, temperatures may stay well below normal for most of the next 2 weeks.
