540pm CDT: Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for parts of Central Alabama
Warnings are coming out quickly from the NWS Birmingham as we have an intensifying line of storms forming. Here are the active warnings as of 540pm CDT:
1. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Tuscaloosa County and Southwestern Jefferson County Until 615 PM CDT.
2. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Shelby and Southern Jefferson County Until 600 PM CDT.
The main threats: 60 mph wind gusts, blinding rain, frequent cloud to ground lightning. The storms are moving to the southeast at 25 mph. Storms to the north of I-20 are more few and far between and not as strong. Additional storm continue to build across parts of eastern Mississippi. Please be weather aware.
