Heat Advisories Posted for Friday
Heat Advisories are up for portions of northern and central Alabama for Friday!
The NWS in Huntsville has posted a Heat Advisory from 11am to 5pm on Friday. This is for the following counties: Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan.
The NWS in Birmingham as the Heat Advisory from 10am to 9pm for Bibb, Blount, Fayette, Greene, Jefferson, Lamar , Marion, Pickens, Shelby, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston Counties.
The humidity levels are coming up and with the hot temperatures in place, we are seeing heat index values creeping up. In the advisory areas, the heat index could peak near 108.
