These reports are from 33/40 Skywatchers and other reports from the public. Snow showers are now moving SE through North/Central Alabama and, with temperatures falling below freezing, look for some ice problems on the streets and highways, especially overpasses and elevated roadways.

Almost all of the reports say the flakes are very large and coming down moderate to heavy. Here are some reports:

* Temperature 29 in Center Point and dropping like a rock.
* Snow beginning to accumulate in Maylene, Shelby County.
* Terry Sasser, mobile on 65 south headed toward the junction. Moderate snow with temperature 31.
* Big flakes in Alabaster.
* Snow at Samantha in Tuscaloosa County and at Gordo in Pickens County.
* Center Point, Weather Watcher says the flakes are huge.
* The ground is white in the Moody/Leeds area and snow is accumulating on car tops.
* A dusting of snow on US-31 in Gardendale, temperature 31.
* Center Point, 29, snow accumulation between 1/4 and 1/2 inch so far.
* South Hueytown, snow coming down hard and starting to accumulate on cars and grassy areas.
* Smaller flakes, but coming down hard in Oneonta.
* About 1/8 accumulation 9 miles north of Fayette.
* Snow at Inverness on US-280.
* In Concord/Hueytown, John Talbot reports that the snow is light now with smaller flakes and 30 degrees.
* Skywatcher Freeman in Center Point, reports yards are white, but no accumulation so far on roads or driveways.
* Terry Sasser, mobile, reports moderate snow on the Red Mountain Expressway and temperature 29.
* At 6:41, Chuck Biddinger in Roebuck, reported 31 degrees. The snow was rather heavy, but the flakes were small. Car tops are covered and the grass is getting white.
* Flakes the size of quarters reported in Hueytown with the ground completely white.
* About 1/4 inch accumulation at the bottom of Chalkville Mountain Road in the Trussville area. The snow is steady and has been since about 6:20. The flakes are huge.
