A 100 mile wide band of showers and storms continues in a southwest to northeast alignment across Alabama.

Heavy showers are between Jasper and Parrish in Walker County.

To the south, even heavier showers and storms are over northern Bibb county, moving toward northern Shelby and southern Jefferson Counties.

Lightning is evident from Tannehill SP to Linden and Livingston in West Central Alabama. In fact, a lot of it, especially the further south you go.

Two severe thunderstorm warnings in Mississippi at this hour. They are west of Hattiesburg down to west of Poplarville. These stronger storms will move into Southwest Alabama later.

To the north, the storms have weakened as they continue to move into drier air. The rain will end from the west during the morning.
