Alabama at Mid-morning–9 am Report

Scattered showers continue spreading eastward across Alabama this morning. They were moving between east and northeast.

The showers were light to moderate–no real downpours and no thunderstorms. The showers were grouped in several areas, such as:

* Cullman and North Jefferson north to the Tennessee Valley.

* West Central Alabama counties of Lamar, Pickens, Greene and Sumter.

* Dallas and Chilton County in Central Alabama.

* East Alabama from Tallapoosa and Macon County southward to near Troy.

Mild is the word. It almost seems like OMW (Ole Man Winter) suddenly decided to throw up his hands in total surrender.

We, of course, know that it is way too early to say that!
