Huge Wedge Tornado on the Ground West of Brookhaven MS

A huge wedge tornado just crossed US-84 in Southwest Mississippi near McCall Creek west of Brookhaven.

A PDS Tornado Warning is in effect. The tornado is moving toward Wesson and Beauregard.

Jack Rudden reports that the debris signature is up to 20,000 feet now. There are reports of injuries.

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Northwestern Lincoln County in south central Mississippi…
Southern Copiah County in central Mississippi…

* Until 445 PM CST.

* At 337 PM CST, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado
was located over Mccall Creek, or 13 miles east of Meadville,
moving northeast at 40 mph.

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

HAZARD…Damaging tornado.

SOURCE…Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris
may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile
homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete
destruction is possible.

Caseyville, Vaughn, and Loyd Star around 345 PM CST.
Wesson around 355 PM CST.
Glancy, Martinsville, and Beauregard around 400 PM CST.
Hazlehurst around 405 PM CST.

To repeat, a large, extremely dangerous and potentially deadly
tornado is on the ground. To protect your life, TAKE COVER NOW! Move
to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
