Flooding Reported in Hoover Area; Flood Advisory Issued for Southern Jefferson and Northern Shelby

| February 12, 2025 @ 8:23 pm

Heavy rainfall has led to flooding in parts of Hoover, particularly near Highway 150 and Stadium Trace. Reports indicate significant water accumulation over roadways, including at 2406 Tyler Road and Highway 150 near the Holiday Inn.

Emergency officials and Hoover Police have noted rising water levels, with concerns that additional rainfall could worsen conditions. While rain has eased up for now, continued monitoring is necessary as more storms track through the area.

Drivers should avoid flooded roadways and find alternate routes. With more storms expected overnight, flash flooding remains a risk in areas of poor drainage. Stay tuned for updates.
