As of 11:20am, radar is mostly quiet across the region. There is one lone storm north of Tuskegee, but it is quiet elsewhere. This afternoon, we expect additional isolated thunderstorms to develop. They may contain gusty winds and some hail, but significant severe weather is not expected.

The storm prediction center has issued a new mesoscale discussion highlighting the areas with the greatest risk of a few strong storms this afternoon. As of now, a severe thunderstorm watch is not expected. Stay tuned for updates and possible severe thunderstorm warnings later today.
