Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Portions of Lauderdale, Colbert and Franklin Counties Until 6pm

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for portions of the following Alabama counties: Franklin, Colbert and Lauderdale until 6pm. The concerns with this storm include 60 mph wind gusts and quarter sized hail.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama...
  Western Colbert County in northwestern Alabama...
  Northwestern Franklin County in northwestern Alabama...

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 458 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Tishomingo
  State Park, moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Malone, Posey Loop, Pogo, Mt Hester, Cherokee, Srygley Church,
  Allsboro, Maud, Riverton, and Wright.

building.
