4:40pm Radar Update

Currently, the severe thunderstorm warning for Franklin, Lauderdale and Colbert Counties is still in effect. While that storm was over Northeast Mississippi, it actually produced baseball sized hail! This 2.75 inch hail was reported in Sandy Springs, MS. This is currently the only warning in effect for Alabama.

Elsewhere, there are several active tornado warnings. A confirmed tornado was on the ground near Jackson, TN just a few minutes ago. It has since lifted, but could strengthen again at any point. Here is a look at current radar imagery and warnings:
