Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Cherokee County Until 5:00 PM CDT

At 4:12 PM, severe thunderstorms were tracked along a line from near Ider to Fort Payne to Fyffe, pushing east at 35 mph.

These storms are capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations in the path include Broomtown, Little River Canyon National Preserve, Fullerton, Blanche, New Moon, Gaylesville, Chesterfield, Little River Falls, and parts of western Weiss Lake.

Seek shelter now in an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away from windows.
