Here’s A Look at the Alabama Weather Situation at 750 pm; New Warning for Greene, Hale, and Tuscaloosa
Storms continue tonight across Alabama, generally in the I-59 Corridor now.
There is a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 815 pm. The storm core is just southeast of Porterville in DeKalb County Another strong storm is trailing is in southern DeKalb south of Crossville. It will push toward Collinsville.
There is a weakening cell near Grant in northern Marshall County. IT is still producing torrential rain and small hail though.
Ahead of it, storms are moving into southern Jackson and western DeKalb.
In southern Tennessee, a severe storm is south of Winchester, skirting the border with Jackson County, Alabama. A new severe thunderstorm warning was just issued for Jackson County and extreme northern DeKalb counties.
Further south, in Central Alabama, the strongest storm is over southeastern Pickens and southwestern Tuscaloosa counties. A distinct hail core is near Union in northern Greene county. The NWS Birmingham has just issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Green, Tuscaloosa and Hale Counties. Hail could reach 1.25 inches in diameter. The storm will stay well south of Tuscaloosa and Northport.
