Tornado Emergency for Huntsville Area Near Highway 72 and Jeff Road

A confirmed large and destructive tornado is on the ground near Madison, moving east at 35 mph. This is a Tornado Emergency for the Huntsville area near Highway 72 and Jeff Road—a particularly dangerous situation.

This tornado is life-threatening. Radar has confirmed a large, deadly tornado. Flying debris will be dangerous to those without shelter. Mobile homes will be destroyed. Major damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely.

The tornado will impact Redstone Arsenal, UAH, Alabama A&M, and surrounding communities by 6:40 PM. Take cover immediately.
