Dangerous Storms Approaching West Alabama
A dangerous line of storms is approaching West Alabama at this hour. It is coming up on Meridian MS.
There is a tornado warning for Clarke and Lauderdale counties in Mississippi. The most dangerous part of the storm is south of Meridian. It will move north of Lisman in Choctaw County and into southern Sumter CoUnty south of Cuba.
Severe storms extend all the way down into Perry County, east of Hattiesburg, MS.
These storms will affect Washington, Choctaw, Sumter and eventually Greene, Hale, Marengo, and Clarke Counties over the next two hours.
Damaging winds and hail are the primary threats, but a tornado can’t be ruled out. The paramaters are not especially high, but we do have sufficient bulk shear for organized storms and we are seeing rotation.
