Tornado Warning in Effect for Central Madison County

| May 27, 2025 @ 8:20 pm

A Tornado Warning is in effect for central Madison County, including Huntsville and Gurley, until 7:45 PM CDT. At 7:16 PM, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Huntsville and moving east at 20 mph. Radar indicates rotation with this storm, and conditions remain favorable for tornado development.

There is a possible tornado debris signature southwest of Owens Crossroads.

This is a life-threatening situation. Residents in the warning area should move immediately to a safe location, such as an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows, and do not attempt to travel until the threat has passed. Heavy rain may hide the tornado, so do not wait to see or hear it — take cover now.
