In addition to the information in this Huntsville Statement, a group of showers has developed over West Alabama in Lamar, SE Marion and Extreme NW Fayette County. Also some showers over Blount and Extreme North Jefferson County.

The Storm Prediction Center removed almost all of Alabama from the slight risk area today. The exception is a small area along the Georgia border and mainly this afternoon. However, the National Weather Service, Birmingham, advises that some strong to possibly severe thunderstorms are possible, best chance noon till about 7 pm along and east of I-65. Due to approaching cold front.
