Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Limestone, Lauderdale, and Lawrence Counties Until 3:30 PM

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 3:30 PM CDT for parts of northern Limestone, southeastern Lauderdale, and north central Lawrence counties.

At 2:25 PM, a storm capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail was located near Rogersville, moving east at 25 mph.

Tops are up to 37,000 feet. Hail size is around one half inch. Tornado threat is nearly zero.

Impacted locations include Athens (2:59pm), and Elkmont (3:18pm). It is already near Rogersville, and surrounding communities.

Residents should seek shelter indoors and stay away from windows.
